Book Layout – “Poengalengas”
This work contains a generous bunch of original nursery rhymes and other verses aspiring to be poems, here and there with a hint of tongue twister.
Written by Dénis Conceição and illustrated by Luís Cardoso, the book “Poengalengas” aims to contribute to moments of family reading enjoyment. At the same time, it is a pedagogical tool, finding in the diversified vocabulary, rhymes, rhythm, sonority and fun word games the ingredients for awakening an interest in reading, as well as promoting the healthy development of linguistic skills (mastery of oral or spoken language, including awareness of speech sounds) and cognitive skills (attention and memory capacity).
