Project Description

Licinio Pinto and Francisco Pereira, Painters from Aveiro. From silver salts to cobalt blue.

For this exhibition, we undertook a photographic pilgrimage to various stations in the district of Aveiro, designing and laying out a triptych, as well as the poster, promotional materials, and, most importantly, the 10 panels that accompanied the exhibits.

Licínio Pinto da Silva (1882-1951) and Francisco Luís Pereira (1891-1961) represent one of the most notable pairs of ceramic artists from Aveiro, whose influence on the art of tile making transcended functionality, becoming a landmark of Portuguese cultural identity. This ex This exhibition aims to celebrate the legacy of these two masters, whose works adorned railway stations and embellished the urban landscape of Aveiro, reflecting the social and artistic transformations of the early 20th century.
