Project Description

Exxa Design Studio is responsible for most of the photographs in the catalogs for the 2025 Aveiro International Artistic Ceramics Biennale, capturing material, color, and scale of the pieces in the competition, by renowned artists and from one of the artistic residencies.

We travelled the country from north to south, searching for pieces and their creators. Our aim was to capture the texture and details of each piece, as well as the production process and the soul that emanates from each piece and artistic installation. These photographs were used to create catalogues that celebrate the exhibitions and their artists above all, but also the curators, conservators and everyone else involved in creating this exhibition of artistic ceramics that transcends borders.
